The future of the country’s petrochemical industry is tied to Hormozgan

According to Mehr reporter, Fereydon Hemmati, describing his trip to Minab city on Sunday morning, stated that an industrial park with a credit of 842 billion Tomans and direct employment for 1,170 people will be opened in Hormozgan in the week of the 33rd government. In 2016, only one operating permit was issued in the Persian Gulf Industrial Zone, but today seven units in this zone have been put into operation with direct employment for 1,320 people.

Emphasizing on removing the obstacles of production and industrial units, he added: 9 industrial projects are also facing the problem of food supply, which have more than 70% physical progress, and the obstacles facing them should be removed.

The governor of Hormozgan continued: These units should be put into operation by the end of Fajr this year at the latest.

Hemmati stated that by supporting small industrial areas alongside large industrial units, a productive and efficient economy can be provided, and said: Fortunately, the province has a successful track record in the field of bitumen production, which has 28 bitumen production units in the province and at its disposal. Having 40% of the production statistics and 45% of the country’s exports in this area is a proof of this claim.

The governor of Hormozgan stated that in recent years, unmatched capacities have been created in Hormozgan, he said: Jask oil terminal and the special zone for energy industries on Parsian are two large capacities, next to which eight large petrochemical units are being built. The future of Iran’s petrochemical industry is tied to Hormozgan and the units located in the province.

Referring to the need for the people to benefit from the blessings of the presence of these industries in the province, Hemmati said: All the units that are being formed are obliged to provide the required manpower from the local people of the region and within the province in the first step, and if It is necessary to train skilled and capable personnel in the required job fields.

The governor of Hormozgan, in another part of his speech, pointed out the regional and economic advantages of the province and added: if the redundant administrative process and some unnecessary criteria are removed from the cycle of investments, Hormozgan can benefit from the God-given advantages and talents that has the right to be considered as the country’s investment paradise.

He listed the respect of investors as the main priority of managers of all executive bodies and said: The top managers of executive bodies should supervise middle managers and experts of different levels in order to accelerate the process of investments.

Hemmati added: wasting time and delaying investments will increase the cost of setting up and production, part of which is related to executive bodies, and these obstacles should be calculated and prevented.

In the final part of his speech, the governor of Hormozgan obliged Aftab Oil Refining Company to provide a part of the bitumen needed for the asphalt of the coastal boulevard of East Bandar Abbas in order to fulfill its social responsibilities.
